About the event
As we learn to talk, we learn to tell stories. Children absorb stories from their culture and internalize them without understanding how it influences ho they are. Are there stories you have internalized that are outdated for who you are today? Often we don't even realize a story we absorbed is preventing us from becoming who we really are.
There is power in the story we tell ourselves and others. This retreat will give us the opportunity to tell our stories to compassionate witnesses and decide whether the stories we tell are serving us to be our best version of ourselves. When we change our story, we change ourself.
In preparation for your retreat, think of 5 songs that are meaningful to you and think about the story behind why they are meaningful for you.
