Visiting Our Grounds

Location, location, location

Our Center is 80 acres of fields, woods, trails, horses, gardens, an outdoor dance floor with a stage, campsites, a glampsite with a cook shelter and bathhouse. Easy access from all directions helps us serve a larger population and offer many options to host events.

At the crossroads of I-94 and US 131, halfway between Chicago and Detroit, we are easy to access from north, south, east or west.

Guest Guidelines

Useful Information

Upon arrival, you will need to sign a liability release or you can click on this, download, print, sign it and bring it with you. If we forget to present you with one, please feel free to remind us.

No dogs are allowed to run free here because of insurance requirements. We like dogs, and during the summer season they can visit on a leash.

Interacting with horses requires being   outdoors and wearing foot protection. Please wear closed toed shoes, preferably made of leather. Sandals are not protective from the sharp hooves of horses and we advise against being close to the horse with inadequate foot protection.

Dress with the weather in mind, preferably in layers so you can add or shed them as needed to be comfortable.

We remain primitive when it comes to restrooms, and currently have composting toilets on the property in a couple locations. They are not wheelchair accessible.

Accommodations

Enjoy a Peaceful Stay

We offer a bell tent with a cook shelter and a bathhouse for a toilet and a shower. There are a couple of sites in the woods cleared for tent camping that are primitive, with no electricity, water or toilet. Contact us directly or book the Kalamazoo Haven property on HipCamp.

Coming soon: A vintage, Ideal camper set on a beautiful meadow surrounded by trees. We may also be offering more small campers on the property to stay in as the summer of 2025 progresses.

All seasons experiences

Nature is the backdrop

The trails we groom all year around create an opportunity to see all four seasons and immerse yourself in the smells and sounds to take you out of your head and into your body.

We groom the trails for cross country skiing in the winter. These trails are challenging, unlike a golf course or a railroad bed, so if you would like to be challenged and have a chance to be quiet, this is where you want to be.

Call us, load up your skis, and head out for a refreshing workout and make sure you stop in the woods to listen to the sound of silence.
